Jeremy Renner had to workout with Olympic level archers to prepare the role of Hawkeye in The Avengers (2012).
Actor Chris Evans refused several times the role of Captain America before finally accepting. However, Scarlett Johansson was so excited to play the role “Black Widow” in Avengers that she dyed her hair red before she officially signed the contract.
The popular director, Quentin Tarantino, had been considered to play the first Iron Man. Similarly, Canadian actress Rachel McAdams was chosen to play Pepper Potts in Iron Man, but she refused and returned the role to Gwyneth Paltrow.
