10 Things You Didn’t Know About Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5: Guardians has been one of the most anticipated video games of the season. Developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios, the title came out October 27, 2015 exclusively on Xbox One. To help you better know about the game, discover 10 things you did not know about Halo 5.

10. One of the Best Console Games

From the start to finish, it is clear Halo 5 is one of the best games of the year. The graphics in 1080p 60 fps offer dense and varied environments, very similar to nature. Even if it often takes everywhere and there are a lot of characters on screen, players never feel slowness and the resolution remains high most of the time.

9. The Master Chief Is Back
Master Chief, the most famous protagonist of the license, is back. However, this is not the only character you can control. It was, indeed, the opportunity to embody Jameson Locke, a Spartan-IV and the head of the Osiris team… One could even say that it is he who has the lead role. If his face tells you something, it’s because he was the headliner of the series produced by Ridley Scott in 2014, Halo: Nightfall.

8. The Team Primarily

Whether embodies Master Chief or Jameson Locke, the team plays a key role. In the single player campaign, we are constantly accompanied by three other Spartan… Although being controlled by the computer, they are smart enough to help us during difficult times. Our character has the ability to give them commands and they can even rekindle if our armor falls to zero.

7. Four-player Co-op

Unlike previous Halo games, Halo 5’s campaign features four-player co-op which allows you to create a squad-focused experience. That is, if you don’t team up online with friends, they will be controlled by AI, whom you can then give orders to and ask to perform certain actions.

You’ll take control of two different squads, Blue Team and Osiris Team:

Blue Team

  • Master Chief
  • Frederic
  • Linda
  • Kelly

Osiris Team

  • Jameson Locke
  • Holly Tanaka
  • Edward Buck
  • Olympia Vale

6. Better In Co-op Mode
As in previous games, it is possible to make the campaign in cooperative mode. This time, however, it has the ability to do with the three other players. An online connection is required because the “split screen” mode is not available… The cards have been designed so that each player has regular opportunities to take a different path.

5. A Historic Confrontation
Although Master Chief and Jameson Locke are in the same camp, they have a difference of opinion about Cortana… The famous artificial intelligence is actually the heart of a threat that could destroy the entire universe.

4. A More Agile Character

In Halo 5, our character is more agile than ever. It can run to smash walls, jump off a cliff to crush enemies or use thrusters to avoid shooting or go faster by jumping.

3. The Arrival of Fashion Warzone

The Halo series is also known for the quality of its multiplayer. This new chapter is no exception to the rule. It offers, for example, Warzone mode, which is more ambitious than anything ever introduced in Halo. 24 players compete on cards three to four times greater than those seen before.

2. A Masterful Soundtrack
The team behind Halo 5 has surpassed by offering us one of the best soundtracks of the series. It is masterful and worthy of being the most costly Hollywood productions. For their part, the few cutscenes (in-game cinematic) that dot the game easily rival the most recent animated films.

1. A Campaign To Ten Hours
In normal mode, the single player campaign should take you about ten hours. The replay value is very high, given the opening levels and the cooperative mode that can be played four.
